Ham & Swiss Croissant Bake is an easy-to-make recipe with flaky croissants, savory ham, and gooey cheese. All baked to golden perfection.
INGREDIENTS:
- 8 Croissants
- 4 Eggs
- ½ cup Heavy Cream
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 8 Slices Black Forest Deli Ham
- 6 oz Swiss Cheese, half a 12 oz block
- 1 cup of Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 1/2 stick Butter, melted
- 3 Tablespoons Parsley, freshly chopped
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cut each croissant into thirds and set aside
Mix together your egg base. In a large bowl whisk together 4 eggs, ½ cup heavy cream, garlic powder, salt and pepper until completely combined.
Next dip each piece of croissant into the egg/cream mixture and shake off any excess.
Place the croissants in an even layer in a lightly greased 9X13 baking dish until full.
Pour the remaining egg mixture over the top of the soaked croissants.
Next take one piece of deli ham, fold in half, then fold in half again to create a rosette shape. Stuff the ham rosette in between a couple of croissants and then repeat the process until you have used all the ham, evenly distributing it among the dish.
Next cut half of your Swiss cheese into thin strips and stuff these strips between the ham and croissants until completely used.
Then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella over top of the casserole.
Bake for 15-20 minutes uncovered until cheese is melted and bubbly.
While the casserole is baking, mix together the melted butter, honey, and chopped parsley.
Finally, remove the baking dish from the oven and brush the top evenly with the honey butter sauce and serve!
