7. **Serve:** Once the cooking time is complete, give the chicken and sauce a good stir. Serve the Cashew Chicken over steamed rice or noodles. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.

### Tips:

– **Vegetables:** Add vegetables like bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas during the last hour of cooking for added nutrition and color.
– **Cashew Toasting:** If your cashews are not roasted, you can toast them in a dry skillet over medium heat for a few minutes until they are fragrant and lightly browned.

### Variations:

– **Spicy:** Increase the red pepper flakes or add a dash of hot sauce to the sauce mixture for a spicier version.
– **Honey Cashew Chicken:** Add 2 tablespoons of honey to the sauce for a sweeter profile.
– **Nut-Free:** Substitute cashews with almonds or peanuts, or omit them altogether if you have nut allergies.

### Serving Suggestions:

– **Steamed Rice:** Serve over white or brown rice to soak up the flavorful sauce.
– **Noodles:** Toss with cooked noodles for a different texture and presentation.
