Dry Rub Chicken Wings

**Dry Rub Chicken Wings: A Flavorful Culinary Delight**

Dry rub chicken wings are a delicious and flavorful dish that epitomizes the art of seasoning and grilling.

Unlike their sauced counterparts, dry rub wings boast a concentrated, aromatic flavor profile that keeps the chicken both juicy and tender while delivering a savory punch.

**What is a Dry Rub?**

A dry rub is a mixture of spices, herbs, and seasonings that is applied to the surface of the meat before cooking. This method allows for the flavors to penetrate the skin and meat,

enhancing their natural taste without the need for additional sauces. Typically, a dry rub may include ingredients like smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, and dried herbs such as thyme or oregano.

  • – 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • – 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • – 1 teaspoon salt
  • – 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • – 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Directions:

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

onion powder, smoked paprika, ground cumin, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
4. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the dry rub.
