 ✨
Ingredients:
🧈 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
🍚  cup granulated sugar
🍯  cup packed brown sugar
🥚 2 large eggs
🌿 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
🌾 3 cups all-purpose flour
🥄 1 teaspoon baking soda
🧁 ½ teaspoon baking powder
🧂 ¼ teaspoon salt
🍫 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
💙 ½ cup blue candy-coated chocolate pieces (or blue sprinkles for extra pop)
🔹 Optional: A few drops of blue gel food coloring for that signature Cookie Monster look!
Instructions:
Preheat & Prep
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Cream It Up
In a large bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
Add Eggs & Vanilla
Mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. Stir in a few drops of blue gel food coloring if using—keep mixing until you get that bright Cookie Monster blue! 💙
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet mixture until fully combined.
Fold in the Goodies
Gently fold in the chocolate chips and blue candy-coated chocolates. Don’t be shy—Cookie Monster loves chunky cookies! 🍪
Scoop & Bake
Scoop heaping tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto your prepared baking sheets. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers still look a little soft.
Cool & Serve
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Enjoy warm or store in an airtight container!
Notes 📝
These cookies freeze well—just shape the dough into balls and freeze before baking!
