Slow cooker BBQ Beef Brisket

Slow cooker BBQ beef brisket is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that’s perfect for a hearty meal. To make slow cooker BBQ beef brisket, you’ll need a beef brisket, barbecue sauce, beef broth, and your favorite seasonings.

Start by seasoning the brisket with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and any other spices you like. Place the brisket in the slow cooker and pour barbecue sauce and beef broth over it, making sure the brisket is well coated.

Cover the slow cooker and cook the brisket on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours, or until the brisket is tender and easily shreds with a fork.

INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 to 3 pounds beef brisket
  • 1 Tablespoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1 Tablespoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 ½ teaspoons liquid smoke flavoring
  • 3 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 bottle (18 ounces) barbecue sauce
DIRECTIONS
1. Combine the thyme, paprika, pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic powder and cumin in a small bowl.
2. Rub spice mixture all over the top of the brisket.
3. Pour 1 cup water in the bottom of a large 7 quart slow cooker. Place spice covered brisket in the water. Pour the liquid smoke and Worcestershire sauce over top of brisket. Cover with lid and cook on Low heat for 8 to 10 hours.
4. Once done cooking, carefully remove brisket to a large platter. Remove fat from bottom of brisket. It should easily skim right off. Discard fat. Shred brisket.
5. Carefully (it will be hot!) pour whats left of water out of slow cooker.
6. Place shredded brisket back in slow cooker and pour barbecue sauce all over the top. Gently stir. Cover with lid and cook another 30 minutes or until sauce is heated through.
7. Serve brisket warm and enjoy!
