Jalapeño Poppers are a fantastic appetizer

Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers are a fantastic appetizer with a spicy kick, and they’re made healthier by using an air fryer instead of deep frying.
How much fun are these Halloween themed mummy jalapeno poppers. They would make an awesome creepy appetizer for a Halloween party!

These are pretty easy to make and taste great!

The recipe uses fresh jalapenos. These will be a bit spicy depending on the peppers used, but the cheese and wrapped dough make them delicious with just enough heat.

They are almost as easy to make as our Halloween Mummy Hot Dogs.

Well even show you step by step how to make them, so it will be super easy for you!

I will warn we used candy eyes for these, which some people may find weird. I get it, why candy in jalapeno popper!

But it was the easiest way to make these little guys look really mummy-like. However if you rather, you could use something like olives cut up instead.
These oven baked Jalapeno Poppers are stuffed with a delicious bacon and cheese filling and topped with crispy seasoned panko bread crumbs. These delicious poppers make the best appetizer or snack!
Of all the appetizers at parties and game day events, jalapeno poppers have always been among my absolute favourites. They have it all. Cheesy flavour, bacon, and a crispy coating. All this packed into a bite sized treat that has just the right amount of kick from the jalapenos. It’s perfection.

Making these poppers at home is easier than you think and does not require deep frying. These oven baked jalapeno poppers still deliver on the flavour you love without all the grease.

I love every popper I have ever tried, but these ones have to be my favourite. Not only are they easy to eat but they are so easy to make too.

Ingredients:

  • 6 jalapeño peppers, halved lengthwise, seeds and membranes removed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled (optional)
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs or panko (for a crunchy topping, optional)

Instructions:

Prep Jalapeños: Begin by slicing the jalapeño peppers in half lengthwise and removing the seeds and membranes with a spoon.

Make Filling: In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. If you’re including bacon, fold it into the mixture now.

Stuff Peppers: Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.

Optional Breadcrumb Topping: If you desire a crunchy topping, sprinkle the breadcrumb or panko over the filled jalapeño halves.

Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (190°C).

Cook in Air Fryer: Place the stuffed jalapeños in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.

Air Fry: Cook for 7-10 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.

Serve: Allow the jalapeño poppers to cool for a few minutes before serving, as the filling will be very hot.
