300ml castor sugar
500ml (2cups) cake flour
15ml baking powder
250 (1cup) milk
5ml vanilla essence
Preheat oven at 180 °c
Beat eggs and sugar together.
Sift flour and baking powder together and fold in egg and sugar mixture.
Heat milk, butter and vanilla essence. Do not boil.
Stir into batter and pour into 2 greaced 20cm cake tins.
I opted to bake in one large square pan.
Bake in preheated oven at 180° for 25 minutes.
Cool and decorate as desire.
