Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and nicely browned. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic, diced onion, and jalapeño pepper. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.

Add the paprika, cayenne pepper, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir well to coat the vegetables with the spices.

Pour in the chicken broth and hot sauce, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, nestling them into the sauce.

Add the butter to the skillet and allow it to melt into the sauce, stirring gently to incorporate.

Reduce the heat to low and let the chicken simmer in the sauce for an additional 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse into the chicken.

Remove the skillet from the heat.

Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro or parsley, if desired, for a fresh herbal touch.

Serve the Chicken Diablo hot, accompanied by rice, mashed potatoes, or your favorite side dish.

Note: Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper or hot sauce according to your preference for spiciness. You can also add sliced bell peppers or other vegetables to the dish for added flavor and color.

Enjoy the fiery and delicious Chicken Diablo!
