No-bake Heaven Cake

No-bake heaven cake is a heavenly dessert that lives up to its name, offering layers of indulgent flavors and textures without the need for baking. This delightful treat typically features a combination of ingredients such as cookies or graham crackers, creamy pudding or custard, whipped cream, and various toppings, all assembled in a layered dessert that’s chilled until set. Here’s a description of what you might find in a classic no-bake heaven cake:

Base Layer: The base layer of a no-bake heaven cake often consists of crushed cookies or graham crackers mixed with melted butter, which creates a firm and flavorful foundation for the dessert.

Creamy Filling: Above the base layer, you’ll typically find a luscious and creamy filling made with pudding, custard, cream cheese, or a combination of these ingredients. This layer adds richness and a smooth texture to the dessert.

Whipped Cream: A layer of fluffy whipped cream is often spread over the creamy filling, adding lightness and a luxurious mouthfeel to the dessert.

Toppings: No-bake heaven cakes can be topped with a variety of delicious ingredients, such as fresh fruit, chocolate shavings, caramel or chocolate sauce, chopped nuts, or sprinkles. These toppings add visual appeal and additional flavor to the dessert.

  • 300 g of boudoir or spoon cookies
  • 250 ml cold unsweetened crème fraiche
  • 250 g cold mascarpone
  • 100 g sweetened condensed milk
  • milk – powdered sugar

Put the very cold mascarpone and cream in a bowl. Add the cold condensed milk. Whip with an electric whisk until you obtain a firm, fluffy cream. Put in the refrigerator.
Coat a 20 cm diameter mould with butter (like a chiffon cake or ciambella mould). Cut the cookies to the appropriate length to fit around the base and the chimney of the mould.
Quickly moisten both sides with milk and place one next to the other. Spread the cream in the pan and level with the back of a spoon. Cut up remaining cookies, dip in milk and place side by side on top.
Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 1 hour. Remove from freezer and unmold carefully onto a serving plate and sprinkle with a little powdered sugar. Keep the cake in the refrigerator and serve sliced. Enjoy!
