German Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars are a decadent dessert that combines the rich, gooey goodness of pecan pie with the luscious flavors of German chocolate cake.
The base of these bars is a buttery, flaky crust that provides the perfect foundation for the layers of indulgent filling. The filling is a delightful combination of chopped pecans, coconut flakes, and a sweet, caramel-like mixture made with brown sugar, butter, and evaporated milk.
After baking, the bars are topped with a generous layer of chocolate frosting made with melted chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. The frosting adds a creamy, chocolatey finish that perfectly complements the nutty, caramel flavors of the pecan filling.
